GRAPEVINE, TX -- Hey, Christmas might be over, but that doesn't mean the spirit of giving is gone. Six families in Grapevine were surprised with fully furnished dreams.

Bassett Furniture and Grace Friends and Family, a local agency that helps folks facing hard times, came together to deliver truckloads of furniture.

Yeah, on Thursday, it was a scene straight out of your favorite home makeover show.

There were assembly crews putting up bed frames, bringing in nightstands and hanging beautiful art, while designers were busy fluffing pillows.

And then the big reveal for one deserving mom of five.

"This means a lot to me, just to have a little area to get some peace and quiet. This is awesome!" said Antoinette Crawford.

She was the first of five families to celebrate Christmas a little late.

"She and her kids have been through quite a bit, through domestic violence and financial insecurities," said Shonda Schaefer, Executive Director for Grace.

“I would just like to tell anybody that is in any domestic situation you don’t have to accept it, there's hope and help out there, people will help you,” said Crawford.

So what do you do when you get a new bed? Jump on it, of course!
