NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas -- There's no easy way to deal with losing a friend and it seems everyone who knew Kendall Clark is struggling with losing a classmate who was just 15.
The Richland High School sophomore was killed in a car crash Saturday night.
Cops say Kendall was in the passenger seat when her mom's car was broadsided as she was making a turn onto Rufe Snow Drive.
The mom is at a nearby hospital and expected to survive the deadly impact.
After hearing the news that Kendall did not, friends and family turned to social media.
Monday, grief-stricken kids showed up at the high school gym to get support from school counselors and to share memories.
"I just hope that she's remembered for the smile on her face. I know she was a great example to many people."
On what should have been a day off from school, these students are learning a very hard lesson.
