GRAPEVINE-Christmas is just around the corner and that means presents!!!

Yeah, presents really sweeten the Christmas season, but for some kids, it's the simple things that put the "merry" in merry Christmas.

For the kids of Vogel Alcove, a local non-profit providing free child care for homeless kids in Dallas, the holidays got a little brighter. On Tuesday, they took a trip to the winter wonderland inside the Gaylord Texan’s Ice! Exhibit.

Dressed to handle the freezing temps these kids went down icy slides, took pictures with Frosty the Snowman and got in on some of the ice sculpting action.”

"My favorite part was probably seeing the people make the ice sculpture right in front of you, that was pretty cool," said Zoe Sealy.

So what do these kids really want for Christmas?

"These super cute black boots," said Finley Dodd. Her brother Barrett said "I want transformers!"

With the help of Vogel Alcove, it looks like these kids will have a holly jolly Christmas this year!
