FT. WORTH, TX - Well, it might not have been the most exciting climax to a wild regular season, but it's a win all the same for TCU.

The Iowa State Cyclones couldn't weather this perfect storm of points. The Frogs pummeled Iowa State 55-3.

The win clinches TCU a share of the Big 12 Championship, a huge step forward for a program that was 4-8 last season. They’ll be co-Champions with the winner of tonight’s Baylor-Kansas State game.

Most importantly, the win should be enough to keep TCU in the top four and in the first ever College Football playoff.

Coach Gary Patterson wasn’t worrying about what the committee decides.

“I don’t know what happens tomorrow, but the bottom line to it is that we’ve done everything we can do.”

The team will find out for sure, just before noon on Sunday morning. But for now, it looks like the Frogs are poised to leap into history.
