FORT WORTH — Pictures from Twitter reveal the horrifying moments a Northwest ISD school bus burst into a fireball!
We’re told the bus driver saw smoke coming from the engine and got nearly a dozen kids off, just moments before it went up in flames Wednesday afternoon on southbound I-35W near the Keller Hicks Road exit.
Thankfully, no one was hurt, but traffic was backed up for hours… right in the middle of rush hour traffic.
No word on what caused the fire.
This comes exactly two weeks after a brand new Blue Bird school bus in Frisco caught fire. Back in July, more than 2,000 Blue Bird buses were recalled for steering problems and propane fuel leaks.
