Thanksgiving is over, which means it’s time to make some room on the shelf for desserts other than pumpkin pie. This Cherry Garcia Oreo Truffle is the perfect treat for the job! It’s a dessert you should share, but won’t want to!
1 16 oz Oreo Cookies Golden variety (or regular)
1 8 oz cream cheese, room temperature
1 8 oz maraschino cherry (with stems)
1 16 oz dark chocolate chips or melts (or white chocolate if you use the regular Oreo cookies)
Place cookies into blender until pulverized, then add cream cheese until it starts to stick together. Shape into one inch bowl, place one cherry in the middle with stem hanging and mold into a ball. Insert a toothpick next to the stem, place rolled truffle on parchment lined baking sheet and freeze for 20 minutes. Put chocolates into double broiler until melted. Using the toothpick, dip into chocolate until completed coated, tap off excess. Stick toothpick into styrofoam board until chocolate hardens.
