NEW YORK, N.Y. — Four passengers have been arrested after cell phone video surfaced showing a New York subway smack down, according to PIX11. The video captured a group of young women hurling insults and using purses, high heels, and their hands to swat several people before one passenger finally reacted by slapping one of the women, triggering an all-out brawl on the F train. The video, posted to YouTube, is appropriately titled Man smacks the soul out of girl on the NY Subway.

The women can be seen bantering with several passengers on the train, including a man standing at a pole near them, wearing a distinct jacket and hat. The three women take turns laughing, yelling, and swatting passengers, including the one recording with the cell phone camera. The ‘subway photographer’ repeatedly picks up his phone after it’s knocked from his hand, and it never stops recording.

Two of the women return to their seats, but one continues waving her finger and insulting the man with the #8 jacket and big furry hat, repeatedly calling him ‘stupid’ and telling him about her Steve Madden shoes. She continues her tirade by insulting the man about his ‘1990 jacket.’ When the man finally has enough of being swatted and insulted, he slaps the woman with his open hand. And the fight is on.

Leading up to all of this in the video, there is a man wearing all black, from shoes to cap, who quietly stands just behind the hatted man at the pole; he becomes  a strong force in stopping the brawl.

If you go back to the very beginning of the posted video, you see a quiet-looking, unassuming guy wearing glasses and ear buds; he moves from where the trouble starts to somewhere behind the person recording. He’s probably the only one who didn’t get hit.

The four arrested, according to PIX11, are Jorge Pena, 25, Danay Howard, 21, Shanique Campbell, and Kevin Gil, 21; all four face disorderly conduct charges.
