NORTH TEXAS -- Hey you! Yeah, you, Do you know who you'll vote for on Election Day? By now you probably know who's running but there's more on the ballot than candidates.
There are issues that might affect you! Consider this your mid-term elections cliff-notes:
In Denton County: folks living in the city of Denton must decide "to frack or not to frack" - it's the form of gas drilling that's created a lot of friction.
Moving over to Dallas County: Prop 8 proposes a pay raise for the mayor and Dallas City Council. You can decide if you want to show them the money.
In Frisco: late night liquor laws are on tap. The proposal would push last call to 2 a.m. instead of midnight.
In Cowtown: folks in Fort Worth must decide if they will or won`t approve a multi-purpose arena next to the Will Rogers Memorial Center in the Cultural District.
Here's one for everyone behind the wheel: Prop 1 wants you decide if you want a smooth ride- it allows funding from oil and gas production tax to build and maintain state highways.
There you have it election 101. So now you know the issues, make your opinion count!
