VALLEY RANCH - The Cowboys once cushy 6 and 1 start has almost entirely evaporated. A day after dropping their second straight game, Coach Garrett was very clear, his team just didn’t play well enough.
“There were some opportunities there that we didn’t take full advantage of," head coach Jason Garrett said. “Everybody’s a part of that, quarterbacks a part of that, but the receiver’s, the tight ends, the runners, the offensive line, everybody’s a part of that.”
Well, the quarterback was definitely a part of it yesterday. Brandon Weeden was far from impressive, tossing two picks. So, what’s it gonna take for Romo to be back on the field?
“Hopefully he just progresses, he’s gotten better and better everyday since the injury,” Garrett said. “So, hopefully he’ll handle the flight well, get over there, blood will be flowing through his body, he’ll feel good and we’ll get to work.”
What about that flight! This ain’t your average road trip, as the 'Boys go globe trotting 4,700 miles to London to play Jacksonville. Any plans to accommodate Romo and the other veterans on the nine hour flight?
“When we’ve taken some of the big planes on some of the longer road trips already we’ve put some of the more veteran guys and some of the bigger guys up into that business class, so hopefully we’ll accommodate some of those guys who need it.”
So, does that mean the head coach might have to sit in coach?
“Well, I will have a seat,” Garrett laughed, “But, I don’t know who it was initially scheduled for.”
Well, good luck in jolly ol’ England guys. Bring us back a cool souvenir like a t-shirt or one of those giant palace guard hats.
Although if the Boys lose to the lowly Jags, it may have us all in a London fog.
