The good news, it now feel like fall. The bad news -- it was a rough go getting here.

Some pretty severe weather blew through North Texas Thursday afternoon, leaving some pretty serious damage in its wake.

Fort Worth was first to get smacked. A brick wall came tumbling down at the Stock Yards.

The State Fair enacted its rarely used Weather Safety Program and DART temporarily suspended all rail operations.

Both DFW International and Love Field are playing catch up after dealing with delays and diversions. It can be tough landing a plane in 70 mph wind gusts.

There were even reports that a possible tornado hit the Lake June area in southeast Dallas.

Needless to say, trees and branches weren't a match for mother nature's howling winds.

But hey, the silver lining? Much-needed rain. It's all the extra that comes with it, we can do without!
