VALLEY RANCH -- The wait is almost over! Friday the Cowboys had their last full practice before final team meetings ahead of Sunday’s opener against the 49ers.

Every guy with a star on his helmet is buzzing for the start of the season, but for Dan Bailey, it’s a rematch against the team he launched his stellar career with.

Back in 2011 Bailey hit the game tying and game winning field goals against the Niners in only his second NFL game.

“Anytime I think back on that I think about how much I learned in just one game and obviously its an old rivalry,” Bailey said. “I think it will be fun to go against them again and kick things off.”

So, what are the players up to before the big kickoff? Any superstitions?

Well, defensive end George Selvie has a simple evening planned for Saturday. “Just go to the hotel, go to meetings and go to sleep, man!”

“I usually just like to hang out and watch some TV or something," Kicker Dan Bailey said. "If there’s a college game on or something I’ll watch that."

Cole Beasley may be clutch on third downs but that doesn't mean the pregame jitters don’t still get to him.

“I’ll probably throw up before the game tomorrow. I usually do that,” said the wide receiver. “So I guess that’s my pregame ritual.”

Okay, the players may not be the superstitious sort, but that doesn't mean you can’t be.

So, avoid any black cats between now and Sunday, get your rabbit’s foot, four-leaf clover or lucky underwear and maybe you’ll help swing the cosmic balances into the Cowboys favor.
