It’s our civic duty, but some in H-Town seem to think they’re above the law when it comes to a jury summons.
Yeah. According to legal watchdogs ‘Citizens Against Lawsuit Abuse,’ folks in Harris County had the lowest jury participation rates out of 13 Texas counties studied.
Let’s take a look at Exhibit A: The statistics. Findings show Harris County had just a 26.5% participation rate of those called for jury duty.
Hmmm… Does that make Houstonians guilty of being slackers? Looks like the jury’s still out on this one.
