CINCINNATI, OH– Thanks to social media and the kindness of strangers, a grieving father’s wish is granted.

Nathan Steffel’s daughter, Sophia, was just six weeks  old when she died from a liver tumor. She lived her entire short life connected to tubes and contraptions.

When the end came, Nathan turned to the internet for help.

Since he was never able to get a picture of Sophia without all the wires, he posted her picture on Reddit and asked for help photoshopping them out.

He wanted to see his baby once without the machinery.

The response was overwhelming.

Love and support came pouring in from complete strangers. In just two days, his post got nearly 3,000 replies.

And check out some of the photos he got back. Heartwarming, isn’t it?!

We need more of this kind of stuff online to remind us how connecting the internet can be… and of the goodness in us all.
