Okay, it’s time to talk, DFW.

We’ve had two deadly wrong way crashes in just two days. What the heck is going on?

In Irving on Monday night, cops say a driver struck an 18-wheeler *head on* in the southbound lane of loop 12. The big problem? He was driving north. While the driver of the rig escaped injury, the driver of the car wasn’t so lucky. The truck was hit *so hard* the fuel tank was knocked out of it.

The week got even deadlier early Wednesday morning when another wrong-way driver was killed, this time on I-820 near Marine Creek Parkway in Fort Worth. Cops say an Isuzu going east in the westbound lanes of the loop hit a service truck and a Kia.

“We have one subject that is in the Isuzu trooper that is dead on the scene,” Capt. Scott Conn of Fort Worth Police said. “We had two passengers in the Kia sedan that were injured. We had a male driver in the service van that was actually pinned inside the vehicle.”

So, what’s going on, guys? Do we need better signs? Is everyone getting reckless because it’s summertime? Whatever it is, if all the headlights are driving at you, you’re going the wrong way!
