Fútbol Fan Frenzy at AT&T Stadium

World Cup excitement is reaching a fever pitch. On Saturday, passionate fútbol, not soccer, fans headed to Arlington, as Mexico squared off against Ecuador at AT&T Stadium.

With all the frenzy, you’d never guess this was just a FIFA friendly match; just gearing-up the teams for the impending World Cup, now less than two weeks away in Brazil.

So how do “El Tri,” that’s Mexico, faithful feel about their team’s chances in Brazil?

Alex Tapia, who made the drive from Houston to see the match, said he feels pretty confident.

“We’re gonna win first place, we’re gonna beat Brazil, Argentina, Spain,” Tapia said.

“We’re gonna beat everyone!”

Well, Mexico did win the match 3-1 over Ecuador. So, the excitement may be well placed
